if you can (and think game is good) , post a positive steam review , there are some people , a minority of barbarians (And there will be) who have no idea what they are talking about who do not understand what fog 2 is so they post a negative review
now i am not saying just to post fake positive reviews(that can Hurt the game longterm), constructive analysis of the game is best kind of review. if there are some things you dislike you should make sure devs hear it , make it in caps if necessary, give them headaches
just it would be a shame if people who do not know what they are talking about shape the reputation of fog 2 on steam (there ll be some since fog 2 came into contact with broader audiences here and there). even tho fog 2 is not perfect and i can see some things i dislike, it nowhere near deserves completely out of touch reviews
i am not part of developer team nor in any way affiliated with slitherine, byzantine games or matrix and take this only as a suggestion
edit: in theory, the better and more reviews game has on steam, the more chances people buy it , which means more money for the devs and more victims for me to beat in multiplayer. you do not need to buy from steam, you can enter your cd key you recieved into games/Add steam product in the upper left corner
and play both on steam and non steam
Note: i am talking about Steam product page / steam reviews (not steam forum)

I just had a look on the Steam forum and while there are a few negative comments they are all being answered by Iain and other people from the development team. The release of the game is certainly generating a lot of interest over there for sure.

Where are these negative reviews? I just came from there also and there are 17 reviews and they are all positive. Now, if you're talking on the forum there are going to be some things games don't like but, that doesn't mean they are negative to the game. There's some things I don't like that were in FOG1 but, it's not negative toward the game because I mention them.

There is currently one negative review, but it is in Spanish, so you won't see it if your default language is not Spanish, unless you select Spanish or All Languages.

steam reviews are on the Steam Product page . currently there is one negative review and 93% positive score (filter: show all languages) . in the future few weeks there will likely be more negative reviews which are based on not understanding what kind of game fog 2 is.(saw it with every game like this, simply because its steam, and steam has broad audiences, or at least it introduces new players to fog2 who might dislike it due to lack of understanding) but even if somehow noone posts "uneducated"' negative reviews, the more positive reviews game has, the more traffic it gets ( i think thats how steam works), so whoever likes the game should (would be nice) post a review. its basically popularity booster and it ll combat the (potential) migration of 'uneducated" negative reviews which might deter someone to buy the game who is on the fence
EDIT: this is translated review of a spanish guy who gave it a negative review (classic example):
'not bad game, graphics is fine, the idea is great but it becomes fast very basic and repetitive
are battles quite similar, certainly not worth 30 dollars, in 1 hour I had already bored
the sanctus reach is similar but much higher'
now i am not saying we should all run and spam with positive reviws, just to keep it in mind that these negative reviews will eventually ,when all math is calculated and time passes, lower the income of the devs (and game is actually good so its not something that Should* happen necessarily)

Steam review posted. The score is currently 90% positive.
Some of the comments from the thankfully few so far negative reviews are incomprehensible.
'Clunky mechanics' what does that mean ?
'No campaign option' yes there is it is just different from Pike and Shot.
I have posted a few comments to rebut these clueless statements. This game deserves to sell well and if you enjoy the game say so by posting a review on steam. We all want to see more DLC in the future but sales need to be good for that to happen.

Don't worry about negative reviews. Even the most fantastic games have a slew of reviews with 0 or 1 as a score. Some people just don't like certain styles of games no matter how good the games are.
This FOG2 game is fantastic so no worries.

Yeah, I have to agree the quality of the game speaks for itself and I believe the majority will like it. All games have a hate following or uneducated members. It's just natural that way. Games of good to great quality will outlast the haters an uneducated. Most people will vote positive and with their wallet. I would think this game already met the threshold of success on the first day.

Guys, please post a nice even simple but helpful positive review, I just wish the game keeps very positive review for long time (I dont know why game like Pike & Shot went down from very positive to mostly positive, hope that wont happen with FOG2).

Whoever wrote "Date Total War, marry this" is my favorite. Lots of good reviews. Added mine. Thanks devs for a great way to spend my free time.
