Trying to add H6K MAVIS to game

Having no end of bad luck trying to aliasis a H8K EMILY to a H6K MAVIS in UNIT CSV file.

The line exists for H8K EMILY

Modified line for H6K MAVIS are as follows

The only thing I modified in the line is in the beginning h6k_taitei and gave it a unique type number of 5001.

This little project is driving me to fits. Bout ready to throw my mouse at the computer screen

So what has NOT worked? :roll:
-Modifying the main csv file in the data folder and leaving it there-units in editor all jumbled up [I use OPEN OFFICE EXCEL per recommendations for modifying)
-MOD file. Tried all manner of configurations using a MAVIS MOD file-dumping CSV Unit file....
I consulted the CHURCHILL MOD file, the BoB MOD File and did searches in the the forum for subfolder structure....Game freezes, units jumbled in editor.
I feel I am on the cusp of doing it.
But I must be missing something :?:
Attached is modified csv file and a graphics file for the editor the MAVIS I though I could get in once I successfully aliased the EMILY to a MAVIS with

I just want the MAVIS to show up in the editor even though I know it will appear as a EMILY labeled H6K MAVIS in the scenario.

I'm sorry, I do not have much experience in modding units. Mostly failures :roll:

The units.csv you've attached does look messed up, with various data in the wrong columns.

When importing the original unit.csv into Open Office, are you making sure that ONLY semicolon is selected as column separator?

I know someone mentioned this in some other string-but I had to travel the Modders Trail of Tears to COMPREHEND it. :D

Looks promising. I have Unit 5001-but placing it on the map shows the EMILY which I would expect since I have no 3d model yet of the MAVIS prepared. Now I have to see how to get the picture in the editor menu bar which shows no EMILY or name. Just Unit 5001. And the editor DIDN'T CRASH! :mrgreen:

Or finish this little Mod File.
Need to fix the background [gray and green check dont show up] look for some free, low poly of a MAVIS (that's going to be a mountain to climb)
So much too do so little time.

FWIW the MAVIS picture is based on some Hasegawa (?) model somebody built and then I played with it in PaintNet

BETA quality. Needs polish. But know how to get a MOD file in game now.
