Just dropped 40 bucks on this game, and i'm pretty disappointed right now.

The opening cinematic to the campaign stutters, and then locks, right near the beginning, and that's as far as it goes. It never recovers, and i don't get to play.

Suggestions?

I'm running Win7 Ultimate x64, with current DirectX, and latest drivers.

My system specs exceed the recommended.

Sorry you're having problems. It sounds like a video player issue. You might need to check you have the latest codecs for your video player. This is one of only 2 places in game where its actually a video, so once you get past this it shouldn't be an issue. The rest of the game is all real time 3D. Can you try skipping the movie by pressing the Escape key as soon as its starts and see if that helps?

Yeah, tried escape. As i said, the application locks. It's eating about 60% of my CPU resources, and process monitor tells me the application is reading from the HDD at nearly 1GB/S

What video player does it use, and where might i get the codecs you speak of?

I'm asking support for help here as that is beyond my level of knowledge!
