In the 4-5 games i played until now (both as USA and 7 or CSA) i never had the initiative (having the possibility to choose when to play the combat chit). Am I missing something?

so, where is the initiative window? anyone?

yes thanks; but i always get "initiative none" every hour of every day of every battle i play; that looks strange to say the least

then you maybe are unlucky, not happened myself in my games, but keep an eye on it and re post results and let us know as you are the first with it

Another game played to completion and still neither side ever had the initiative. I suppose this rule, though important, isn't in force (in the version i'm playing on Steam). It's several games now and i haven't seen a single occurrence of this feature.

Hi, initiative happens only on selected turns, depending on scenario.
You should check Turn Status to see if it's a turn with initiative or not.

As I said, in five games (different scenarios) i never saw that happen. I'm going to try a campaign game now...

frankpowerful, do you play CSA or USA? In the current scenarios only the CSA has initiative in selected turns.
