Time limit and Resource Points

Hello all,

During a campaign, everytime I'm on the verge on completing a scenario, I wait until the last possible moment to capture the last victory point, so that I can gather an amount of RP as large as possible.

For example: If I'm on the verge of completing, say, a 40 turn scenario, but I'm only at turn 25, I'll deliberately wait 14 turns before stepping into the last victory point (or meeting the last victory condition, whatever it may be), because each turn, I gain a certain amount that will be helpful in the later missions.

So my question is:
Is it useful to do that, or does the game actually calculate how many turns remain when I complete a scenario, and give me the according sum of RP?

In any case, I'll keep doing that in the future if it's useful. A bit gamey, but I like this kind of... harmless, legit cheating, if I may say so :)

That is not necessary. I am pretty sure you get the resource points from the turns you did not take. No need to loiter.

Thanks, Andy. I always wondered about this, myself. Looking closely at it, the formula seems to be as follows:

Opening RP's for this scenario + (RP's per turn x number of turns) - RP's used during scenario + RP's earned or given during scenario + Opening RP's for next scenario = Total RP's to begin next scenario

This part of the formula is the same whether you win early or play the scenario out to the end and still win: (RP's per turn x number of turns)
