Unplayable...

I'm yet to play a game [scenario or campaign] without encountering a bug.
With the scenarios it typically a minor bug, the most common being a few random units rapidly doing constant 360-degree turns on the map, and not moving up with the rest of their brigade, but the normal brigade showing 'losses' when there are none.
But when I try to play a campaign, the game freezes constantly. The farthest I've got is turn 9 before a freeze. A few minutes ago I had a campaign freeze on turn 5. When I quit to menu and reloaded the game, it always quit in the exact same spot. So I deleted that and started again, this time I only got 2 turns in before a freeze immediately after the US retreated before combat. So in short, I can't play a campaign without it freezing and being unable [upon a restart] to get past that critical point.
It's really frustrating and demoralising to encounter this many bugs that prevent me from completing more than a few turns of the campaign, and in my mind, seriously damages the reputation of the publisher. Who decided to release the game with this many bugs? Did anyone playtest it? Did you just figure you had to hit the release date and so you'd iron out the bugs after release?
