GC Core Saves not working

On Steam:

Recently upgraded to Gold by purchasing the whole DLC pack.

Now I can't load my core saves.

The saves are there like they always did, but the game flat out refuses to let me start a GC pack using one of them.

Anyone?

This links to a thread regarding savegames, not core saves?

Anyway, all my DLC are active, so I don't think that's the same problem.

I mean, I can start all the DLCs normally - I just can't get the cores to carry over.

Even if you start a new campaign?

Yes.

I've tried several times, going through a handful of campaign using endscn cheat.

Every time the core file is saved.

But I can't use it with the next campaign installment.

I even removed the game and reinstalled it. No change.

This was never a problem before purchasing the whole PC bundle on steam.

Great.

So buying more content broke the game for me.

Not touching any more Slitherine games.

I don't see anyone else reporting that issue. So there must be something going wrong with your game and your system.

Try the following:
Try first Step 1 and if the issue still persists try Step 2.

Step 1: Run the game as Administrator

- Right-click the game in your Steam Library.
- Go to Properties, then to the Local Files tab.
- Click Browse Local Files.
- Locate the game executable (the application file).
- Right-click it and go to Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Check the "Run this program as an administrator" box.
- Click Apply. Having done this, restart Steam and try launching the game again.

Step 2: Run Steam as Administrator

- Navigate your Steam installation file (By default, it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam).
- Right-click the Steam executable.
- Follow the above steps to set it to Run as Administrator.
- Restart Steam.
Run the game as Administrator

If the above fails, rename the folder named "Panzer Corps" at "...\Documents\My Games\" as "_Panzer Corps".
Restart a new campaign and check if the issue persists.
