Question: How many horses should the LD Egyptian Chariots have? I'm assuming four, and am struggling to find decent info.

(actually, if anyone can direct me to some good reading it would be appreciated).

I'll probably use Chariot minatures, but am also thinking Scythed Chariots sans-scythe from Xyston.

Not being any wiser than you I'm unable to point you in the right direction, but have a nice example of an essex four horse chariot for you.

Besides I sold these quite some time ago, before FOG.
Now as the Fates would have it I'm painting more to replace them and bring them up to starter army level.

I think it was the Sais Dynasty that through out the Assyrians. So I would think you would ahve Assyrian influence, meaning 4 horses.

Yes, my understanding is that the Assyrians arrived and threw out the Kushites.
Some how after that the Egyptians, whom proved loyal to the Assyrians, established their own dynasty as the Assyrian Empire began crumbling under pressure from a long list of enemies.
Not least among them the Babylonians,

who in turn gobbled up the Assyrians and began establishing their own empire, bringing them eventually into conflict with the Egyptians, where my main interest in this period lies.

dude.. convoluted.

i'll probably use a mixture of 2 and 4-horse chariots from the assyrian/babylonian/egyptian ranges. i expect they weren't uniform
