Different campaigns, different difficulty settings - effect?

Hi folks,

A kind-of-technical question about the campaign manager...

I'm currently fighting a campaign where the difficulty setting is three stars - i.e. Sergeant Major General.

I'm about to start another campaign where I'd like to set the difficulty at two stars - i.e. Colonel.

So my question is, when I switch between campaigns do I need to re-set the difficulty level to the one I want for that particular campaign, or will the AI ignore the settings anyway and go with whatever the initial setting was when that campaign started?

I seem to remember RBS saying something about the limited impact of changing difficutly settings mid-campaign, but I'm not sure of the bigger picture...

Many thanks,
Bombax

You probably should switch the difficulty when you switch the campaign. It won't affect the resources available to the two sides, but it will affect decisions on when to accept battle, militia recruitment, and suchlike.
