Hi

In a melee when one unit fights two -
Does the unit fighting the two units total the hits it gets from both
melees work out if it needs to take a cohesion test and then if it
has say lost a melee and 3bh then take the -1 for more than 1
reason to test ?
Or alternatively do you do a separate cohesion test for each combat
which might result in the unit losing more than 1 level of cohesion.
Also - if the unit loses 2 combat s does that count as - more than 1 reason
to test or is it counted as just one reason - ie losing a combat,

Many thanks

Steve

If one BG is fighting more than one BGs then total the hits inflicted by that BG and the hits inflicted by the BGs fighting it.

There is only one test in the melee phase.

An example:

BG A is fighting BG's 1 and 2

BG A inflicts two hits on BG 1 and none on BG 2
BG 1 inflicts one hit on BG A
BG 2 inflicts two hits on BG A

BG A has inflicted two hits and received three so has lost and must test
BG 1 has inflicted one hit and received two so also has to test

When you include overlaps from unengaged BGs it is possible that all BGs fighting in a melee will have lost and have to test

Also 1HP3 is not a reason to test in melee, but it does give a modifer - thus a BG never has multiple reasons to test when it looses a melee.
