Just heard about this and super excited.

Is the Beta just for PC, or is there going to be one on consoles as well?

Thanks for your interest. The beta will be for PC. We run closed beta tests with professional testing houses on console as there isn't a way to get users involved.

It will be a closed beta and we'll add people to it from the sign-ups in stages. There's already a very limited crew testing for core stability, we're hoping to start expanding the test groups in the next couple of weeks
