I Simply cannot understand why they would need a CMT to move backwards. i cannot see historically how they would have any problem what so ever running away.

The previous CMT to go to close range made sense, now the enemy with 2MU more apr less pins than 2/3 of the time (cache of passing CMT) and ends with their near certain destruction.

It's only the vagaries of the UGO/IGO system that make this happen at all, cossacks could and would avoid regular cavalry.

Cossacks and irregular cavalry now have to be very scared of being with 12mu of regular LC. I really cannot see the logic or history of this one.

Richard G has already suffered from my tantrum on this,

"Counter-charge. Only allowed if Assaulting unit is Irregular Light Cavalry or if they pass a CT."

so irregular light cavalry charged by infantry can counter charge if the pass a CT? I have no problem with this, and does give irregular LC more options.

Hadn't thought of that, but yes, I suppose so. Can't see any problem with it.

Yes, I agree with Richard. Cossacks can either evade an infantry assault, or (with successful CT), counter-charge them.
