When I loaded the game today, I had the same problem. This was after I downloaded the Kriegsmarine patch on Steam.

I believe that the bug affects all Japanese fighters. I am playing the Rising Sun campaign, and none of the fighters in my reserve or my new purchases are marked as carrier based any more, when most used to be. I've attached a save file, in case that helps.

Thank you!

Agreed, I'm playing the Pacific campaign and in the Coral Sea and Midway scenarios the Zeros are shown with efficiency in the red and the highest efficiency I've seen is a 4?? The tactical bombers and torpedo planes seem OK.

We've put a small patch up for this, using the new auto-update system.

Before we make it mandatory, please give it a test with the following steps:
- Launch the game
- In the main menu, press SHIFT + C
- type "#patch patch3.3.3" (without quotation marks)
- Allow the auto-updater to download the patch & the game will restart automatically

Let us know if this works and if it fixes the fighter bug!

Holy smokes, this is going to be pretty darned cool. The auto-update system, not the Japanese fighter fix. I wonder if it will be incorporated into a menu or if SHIFT + C will be the permanent control.

If we make the update "live" the game will automatically search for it and ask permission to download. It's a new feature so if it can get a few manuals tests before widespread use that'd be great :)
