I did not like this in the Soviet Corps.

Playing the Soviet corps had something I did not like, I defeated the advance of the center group in the battle of bialystok-minsk and even so the Nazis attacked Smolensk.
I find myself in the position of having to lose the battle to make some sense in the next battle I am about to face.

Its a lack of Scenario/Campain design. Insteed holding position Belastok (what lead to encirclement of Soviet troops at Belastok and loss), Victory condition must be slow retreat and hold the line behind Berizina and Z.Dvina and save units.

soviet corps is my least favorite expansion, it felt rushed.

What I'm doing to digest this is to use Soviet tank divisions formed of t26 and bt5 and bt7, so it's impossible to defeat the overwhelming Nazi force.

I actually thought it was fun. Maybe not my top pick, but if you've done the others definitely worth having. The Soviets do lack some of the depth of the Germans- you can win fine with only the latest heavy tanks and one type of artillery, so the complexity level isn't the same.
