Impact POAs

Hi

I need something clarifying -
When one unit charges another in POA -
Does the charging unit count the POAs are do
both the charging and charged units count them
if not specified - this is important.
For instance -
Last night i charged some auxilia armed with light spear
with cataphracts with lances.
According to the POA list for IMPACT -
non knight lances give me a + POA
but light spears give the auxilia + POA
Does the Aux get the impact POA even though it
is receiving the charge or does it not get it
because it is not charging ?
We decided to give it the POA but i need this
clarifying before i play again

Thanks

Steve

The POAs already take into account troops making the appropriate local response to a charge, even though this is not explicitly depicted on the tabletop.

Unless the wording of the POA says otherwise, both sides count their POAs in the impact phase.

However "Non-charging" POAs only apply to the side receiving the charge. e.g. Offensive Spearmen charging shock cavalry don't get a POA, but they would if the shock cavalry charged them. This represents them bracing to receive a charge.
