I was trying to make my own scenarios and was messing about with the editor but I came across a few issues.

1. The editor doesnt seem to contain many of the units. For example, I wanted to create a peasant uprising campaign but couldnt find ikko ikki units or peasant mobs.
2. the editor is not very intuitive. After accidentally placing a unit I struggled to remove it (very possibly I am also an idiot but heyho). Is there any complete guide to the campaign editor?
3. what about the stuff from the dlc? It seems to be missing too.
4. When it asks for region, I can only select japan. I would love to select others.

sorry its been a while since ive been here or played online, life catches up to you (buying a house) as does other games (lookin at you vermintide 2) but I have slowly slowly been working on the only steam community guide for this game (it's not perfect nor complete but it's something) and have some great ideas for a series of campaigns.

any help is appreciated. Also if there is a 2019 tournament please let me know!!!

Ikko-Ikki units are available to Side 1 only. To switch sides, click the single flag button a few times (top row).

Hold Delete then click on the unit. Another important hotkey is R which rotates units and objects. The rest are mostly just a matter of clicking. Editor usage is documented in the manual starting from page 95.
3. what about the stuff from the dlc? It seems to be missing too.
The DLC units are found in a separate set of Sides and Squads file from the base game. You will have to make a copy of a DLC folder to get them. Take note, this means you cannot mix units between DLC's.
4. When it asks for region, I can only select japan. I would love to select others.
"Japan" is the only object and tileset available in the game. This represents terrain in Northern Asia. Though you can argue there are deserts too. But as you know, the default ground tile colour is like a clean sheet of "paper" which can represent any terrain. The art is based on Ukiyo-e which usually only paints objects and leaves the background bare and unpainted. There's a toggle to make it green for some who are used to seeing grass.

You can make it show both sets by holding down the SHIFT button when clicking on the flag button.

Thank you so much for this guys!

I completely forgot there was a pdf manual for this game. Gone are the old days where manuals came with every game. I learned this game the hard way, by getting beat by the computer a lot (and then also delving into some tabletop fields of glory after buying a whole ton of zvezda samurai). I will definitely be having a go at this today then.

Thanks again folks!

A revised take on these wars.

Some changes and things to note are:
• Increased ranges (Arquebus 3 from 2 // "Handgun" [Shooting Pistol] for foot (2 from 1) - the only changes in script.
• Ming and Japan have 3 army lists each to cover the Imjin War phase, the ceasefire, and the Jeongyu War phase. Joseon (Korea) contains several more lists distinguishing different regions during the Imjin War phase.
• Light Foot added for all armies.

East vs West. v1.1. European armies invade East Asia. SP & MP Skirmish module.

Changelog:
1) Updated capability descriptions in detailed unit cards
2) Add HW and Spearmen 50% Melee POA against Unsteady Keils
3) Reduced number of turns routing units have until dispersal from 4 to 3. This leads to less atomized battles and fewer battles decided by distant rallies
4) Mobs reduced from 12 to 10AP
5) Any non-light infantry with no ranged weaponry other than Mob can charge non-light mounted
6) Infantry charging mounted do not inflict auto drop, only guaranteed +50POA, with the exception of keils, who still inflict a drop (coded by Cronos09)
7) Fixed minor bug in which HW units with 50% Swordsmen only get 50 Impact POA
8 ) Ming & Zheng armored HW units changed from 100% HW to 84% HW 16% LS 16% Sword
