Deployment matters

As anyone who plays the tabletop game can attest, deployment can be one of the most important parts of a game.

Why then, repeatedly, are my units scattered to the 4 winds on some of these scenarios/maps? Globs of units, who would benefit from the company of globs of units on the other side of the map. Getting them together and unified can take multiple turns.

I feel that I'm starting the match at a disadvantage.

Pardon my ignorance if I've completely missed something obvious, but why cant we "Deploy Mode" every time? :?

The other player has to do this too, nothing wrong with taking a turn or two to get set up the way you want while your enemy either does the same or rushes out to look for you. Games are usually done way before the time limit anyway, take it easy and mob up or take high ground or whatever.

As for -why- it is the way it is, some scenarios dont give a deployment because the builder of that specific senario wants for some reason for the units to start there. Pretty sure if you are playing skirmishes it will always give you a deployment mode along with the random map and random soldiers

[EDIT] My answer is assuming we are talking about multi player

i havent played MP.

This is regarding the SP campaign. It's weird to see deployment seem to only be available half the time.

I agree. Every map should have a deployment zone for both sides.
