Celtic Championships 2017
The Celtic Championship competition was inaugurated in 2003. It is designed to encourage communication between Ancients wargames players on the Celtic fringe. It is primarily an individual competition open to all. There is also a team aspect to it, teams may either represent a "Celtic" region and compete for the Celtic Cup or be made up of individuals/club-members and compete for the independent team trophy. Team scores are distilled from the performance of their constituent team members in the individual competition. Team members can play each other during the competition, but the Umpire will endeavour to avoid any such pairing.

DBMM: is a 400AP Competition using any army with the date 216BC (Battle of Cannae)
FoGR: is a competition using matched pairs of armies (and terrain, if desires) of any
period – the player who did not create the armies has choice of which army to use.
Any number of matched armies may be brought.
The organisers will be able to provide armies and scenarios for both periods.
The Celtic or any other Teams can consist of any 3 players from any competition. The organisers will try to ensure no players from the same area play each other, and will be able to loan armies to those players who do not have a suitable army or wish to travel light.
Special spot prizes for the 1st General & baggage prize each round
There will be a special prize for the Highest Placed “Roman / Carthaginian” army
There will be a door prize of a painted Byzantine army for all those players who get there lists in on time.
The organisers wish to thank Aynsley Consulting for their sponsorship of the team competition perpetual trophy (the Celtic Cup).
