Is it possible to play the campaign scenarios on PBEM MP

As the title says, is it possible to play all or any of the campaign scenarios on PBEM MP? A friend of mine and me would like to play the Morning Sun scenarios 1 vs 1, human on human.
Is it possible to enable playing these scenarios as 1 vs 1?
The campaign scenarios need to edited. The main work will be adding objectives for the (previous) AI faction(s).
You could make them mirroring the original human ones. Not too difficult.
In addition there will probably be play balance issues. Often the AI has more units than you would normally allocate a human player.
You would probably need to change all the AI units to core units as well.
