I am trying to reinstall the series. i have all of the game on discs but when i try to reinstall winter war, 2.5.0 i get an error saying i need 2.5.0 in order to install 2.5.0. i have 2.4.8d now. i run into this problem every time i try to reinstall or install these games and its getting annoying. ive spent the last 3 hrs trying to to reinstall these things and its getting to be a pain in the a@@. any ideas? any patch im missing and need?

well fixed it by bypassing 2.5 and going straight to 2.9.6. weird.

You just need to install the game using the 2.4.8 game file installer, update it with 1.99 and finally install your expansions.
