1. No. Default is enought.
2. Yes.
- heavy tanks movements
- rough-terrain tanks (like T-34)
- rough-terrain cars (4x4)
- amphibious
- horse transport
- special-force troops movement

The game should have had horse transport for all sides. Also should have had bicycles. Maybe even skies.

And there should have been more bonuses. For example T-34 on snow and certain german units become pill boxes(or very reduces movement) in snow and so on.

German have no horse transport while the Russians yes.
I had asked to activate the horse transport for German for the patch 1.30 but no result.
The graphics is in the game but not activated :

Is that in the game without a MOD?

Wasn't ski movement brought in for Soviet Corps?

For the others you'd need modded files. Some are already available or very easily implemented.

Horses - Niki's modified equipment file (just updated to version 21) allows axis horse transport along with some other changes.
Bicycles work fine as wheeled vehicles (maybe not the sound FX).

Amulet has some form of amphibious movement and comprehensive sound effects, so it is possible to develop new movement types and sounds.

As a practical fix for your T34, you could have a T34 (or any other tank with superior snow performance) switch to T34ski which would be identical except for having ski move 3 or 4 instead of tracked move 6.

For a more comprehensive overhaul, you could also adjust the terrain effect settings, eg making roads 0.8 move for wheeled vehicles so they go faster on road than off road.

Yes,
The image "Axis_Horse_transport.png" is in the file : Slitherine > Panzer Corps > Graphics > Units
There are some other images which are not used, but I remember no more of which (SE Units ?).
Mini-mod I made with horse transport for German (version 1.25):

Extra move for T-34 must be on muddy territories too, not only freeze.
And in my post "Useless types of territory" I said about nessesary change "useless" Countryside territory (with changes in movements).
And add new type of movement much better then make snow-switch-only-T-34.

With changes in e-file, horse transport unit must have "horse transport" type of movement, different from "horse" type.

So is panzer corps abandonware now?

How complicated would it be to add horsetransport on my own?
Basically Soviet horse transport with the German picture.

I am planning another playthrough sometime this winter/spring with Kerscher, Rondorf and Litzke as SE tank units and soft cap on.

Only Soviet have horse transport. It was introduced with the patch 1.25 for Soviet Corps. I hoped that it would be generalized for all other nations with the following patch (1.30) but not. I don't know why. It would have brought a little more realism. I believe that the horse was the means of transportation the most used in the German army and in most of the other nations during the World War II.

I agree, activating the German horse transports, and preferably adding western allies and minor axis nations horse transports would have been a relatively simple extra for 1.30, though maybe some recolouring would have been needed.

1/ I think it was from a couple of years ago. The devs have repeated mentioned that they have moved on to other things. Though last year I did read something by Iain on Steam that suggested there are plans for PzC in 2017.

2/ Not very. equipment.pzeqp, open in excel, duplicate the soviet entry and change country to 0 (Germany). Save and make sure the graphic is working right. Maybe you will have to fiddle with efx.pzdat as well to make the graphic work, but that again would be duplicating and changing one line.

3/ Good luck!

Its like differences between light car and heavy pull-truck.
horse transport type of movement - for pull purpose (arty)
horse type of movement - for cavalery

Ok, it was not hard.
You had to add horsepower as transport type for the units able to buy horse transport.
So i added it for all inf -cavalry/kradschuts, 7.5cm art, 3.7 and 5 PAK and the 20mm and 20mm vierling AA.

It really seems like this was something they intended to add, but forgot.
