More like around 20000 people that play and maybe 100 who read the forum.

Most people actually just enjoy playing the single player game and just leave it at that.

Where would you put the number of active players are currently?

Active meaning played the game in the last month.

57,733 from steam stats, of data base users who have bought it and played it on steam anyway, no idea either way higher or lower, just data on steam.

Players in the last 2 weeks: 4,629 on steam

I know I am 1 of those that 4629 in the last 2 weeks.

like i said, no idea how good the steam stats are either, as it's a beta program, so may log same user more or less, so take it as an average etc, as atm there is around 400 online on steam per hour, so evenings and weekends more, so add them altogether gives a total etc

I'm also one of these and don't forget all the players who plays without steam connection and all these players who plays without making comments here at Slitherine.

Players like me, no STEAM and more of a lurker around here...

i play only on ipad even if i have one version on PC.
there are more than 50k players because there are all the panzer general players and there were millions.

I was a non-Steam player until very recently - about the beginning of last November I think. Tried it to see what all the fuss was about. Anyway, I agree that there's probably a significant number of non-Steam players out there.

I must raise my hand & add my name to the roll of the old-time PG players. I still have both of my copies of Panzer General & Allied General on my book shelf, along with PG II & PG III. Despite all of the complaints - including a number of mine - overall I think PC is a fantastic remake.

As to the total number of players, I think we'd have to look at the total sales figures for the game in order to get some idea of how many of us there are out there. Not sure if that information is available though.

I'm a PC only player, so wouldn't show up on Steam figures.

Well my PzC computer doesn't have internet and it isn't on steam so I won't be counted. Though admittedly I spend more time reading this forum than playing the game now.
