I didn't use the Steam Client and when trying to update the game I get a ftp error and the patch wont download. How hard would it be to move saves over to the steam version?

Both versions use the same save folders, so it should be no issue. That said, can you post the error you are seeing trying to use the Slitherine updater please?

When it tries to download the patch from update3.matrixgames.com fails and shows a screen that says

Error:

Unable to download file.
An error occurred while trying to open a FTP file.

Another user suggested that the patch would be available as well from the members section of the store. It was so I used that to get the patch. I am golden now

Can't patch, get the FTP error. When I try to go to Members area all I get is a Bad Request error.

I know, I know, I should have purchased through Steam, my bad. Now I'm stuck with a non working Matrix game.

Anyone else run into this?

try a different browser to download the file, as something at your end is blocking it, check the anti virus and or firewall logs to make sure which one it is

Umm I am still get the same FTP error with the new patch... Got the patch from the member area again just fine but the games patcher fails...

Perhaps check that your firewall is set to allow the update to connect.
