I bought my copy of Vietnam 65 on steam. I'd like to know if I have the latest patch installed. How do I tell?

with steam you don't have to, as with steam it checks on every steam load and makes sure for you that you are running the latest version, and it's also on the start screen, the numbers etc

If you can toggle the hex tile grid, then you have the last 1.11 version.
I agree the version number can't be find ingame, Steam or not, it should be written somewhere, maybe in Options, or in game Report (next to the Difficulty?)
