Noticed that there are no ambient background sounds in this game. That's a bit dissapointing; the ones used in Armageddon are well done and definitely add to the immersion.

No further plans for SR regarding background sounds?

(I'd use The Armageddon sound files for a personal mod - by exchanging SR's music files with them - but they are ... Binka files. Does perhaps anyone know how to convert them into MP3s?)

Some guy made a BINKA converter (drag and drop) that converts BINKA format files to WAV. You can then convert WAV to MP3.
I just tested an Armageddon ambient file I converted from BINKA to WAV to MP3 in SR using the converter followed by WAV to MP3 conversion and it works flawlessly.

Do a search for "grey goo and BINKA", you will find a post in the Steam forums for the game Grey Goo with details.
