Battlegroups seeing Allies broken

Just a simple question do Battlegroups who see allies broken need to roll a cohesion test, or can do they ignore them.
They test if seeing allies broken.
They don't test if they see a commander NOT in line of command die, so ally commander death only affects the ally contingent, and the ally contingent is unaffected by death of other commanders than their own.
