Reposting from main thread:
Second round
SnuggleBunnies (Imperialist) (German Catholic): 31%
GDod (Anti-Imperialist) (German Protestant): 60%
I believe the match up was German Catholics vs German Protestants, one of the later lists with not Tercios for either side. The battle was broken distinctly into three sectors until the last few turns. On the left, my dragoons gained me an early edge by disrupting some Protestant horse from the safety of rough ground. My own horse took cover behind that ground before engaging. I gradually gained an edge, but never broke through decisively on this flank. On the right, my veteran horse supported by commanded shot mostly beat the Protestant horse, and a few units managed to intervene in the infantry fight. In the center, my men held a hill and mowed down the enemy foot with musketry before closing in with pike, clubbed musket, and sword. Though a few of my units routed, the my foot won a decisive victory, giving me the win.
A good game, very dicey on both flanks, but the center held strong for the Empire.

Sixth Round
SnuggleBunnies (Imperialist) (German Catholic): 28%
Lascar (Anti-Imperialist) (Ottoman): 57%
A harder fought battle than the numbers suggest (as is often the case in this game). On the Imperial left, detached musketeers in rough ground and Kurassiers in the open clashed with the Ottoman cavalry, eventually scattering it and allowing the horse to intervene in the center. On the right, a motley force of dragoons, artillery, mounted arquebusiers and a couple later tercio units held a hill against masses of Ottoman cavalry, with both sides taking severe losses.
The center was where the Imperialists won victory. Here, the heaviest tercio units were deployed, with mounted arquebusiers between each unit. The Turks opposite deployed a mass of janissaries, archers, and levies, screened by light musketeers. The cavalry charged the janissaries, causing confusion, blocking lines of fire, cutting down light troops, and, eventually, being swarmed from all sides by the levies held in reserve and cut down them selves. Under the cover of this pandemonium, the tercios advanced into hand to hand combat, overwhelming the right and left of the Ottoman center. However, the very center of their line was held by a unit of veteran janissaries holed up in a village. They inflicted horrific casualties with their muskets, breaking multiple units, and defied all attempts to dislodge them in melee. They held out until the end of the battle.
Good game sir.

ianiow (Imperial Polish 1618) 25% defeated GDod (Rebel Danish 1625) 52%
For a change the Polish cavalry didn't have things all their own way in this battle due to being well matched by Danish Kurassiers on both flanks. Luckily for me there was a huge mountain in the centre which my MF musketeers exploited to defeat the Danish HF then support their beleaguered cavalry on both flanks. Excellent game and excellent opponent (despite the bad jokes)

Have we rebels won a battle yet? Or is the fight for freedom spiraling downwards faster than a catholic falling into the pits of hell?

Don't worry awesum4, we are winning the spiritual battle of bad jokes and poetry, any temporal victory is merely a bonus

ianiow (Imperial Polish 1618) 13% defeated Warlord (Rebel Danish 1625) 50%
Danish infantry in the centre watched helplessly as their flanks were destroyed by Polish cavalry.

Very good report of the battle. Accurate, and conveys nicely the tension and excitement of the battle. I wish I had more of those veteran Janissaries. However, the levies have proven more effective than I had hoped.

Round 1 result:
rbodleyscott (Poles) 40% routed.
lascar (Ottomans) 63% routed.
This was another hard fought battle. The Poles tried to keep their winged hussars fresh by putting them in the second line behind pike and shot and armoured hussars. This had the disadvantage that the Ottomans routed several units from the Polish front line, but it did mean that the winged hussars were able to charge at full force. The Polish right wing collapsed, but they drove through the Ottoman centre like a knife through butter. The Polish left wing was still fighting hard when the enemy morale collapsed.

Bohemian vs Poles (Pantherboy). I surrendered after 6 rounds. I had tercios, raw late tercios and arquebussiers. He swarmed me and shot me to bits. Not sure what the final points were but the result was inevitable.

Round 6 result:
rbodleyscott (Early TYW German Catholic League): 21% routed.
rexhurley (Transylvanian): 46% routed.
The Catholic army deployed entirely on the right of the map, with the intention of avoiding two large forests that might give an advantage to the Translyvanians.
The battle started with a strong attack by the whole Catholic League army attacking the Transylvanian left wing. A massed attack by thousands of Kurassiers swept the Transylvanian cavalry away in rout.
However, as the Transyvanian right came up, the battle started to swing back towards the Protestants.
Just as it seemed the the Transylvanians might turn the tables on the Catholics, their morale collapsed, leaving the Catholics victorious.

My French had a "Glorious victory over Ianow's Catholics. It is official, it said so at the end of the battle.
French lost 59%, Catholics lost 60%.
A hard fought battle where I had to use cunning and guile and good luck to survive against veteran horse with my average horse. Ian had to use cunning and guile and good luck to slow the advance and impact of the French impact foot. Was nail biting stuff as one would be ahead by 2 or 3 percent, then the lead would swap a move later.
Thanks for a most enjoyable game.

Round 5 Result
Warlord, Bohemian Revolt 1620, Attack V rbodleyscot, Catholic League, Defending in Mountains
Win for Warlord, 5% RBS 40% difference 35%
The Catholic League's four mighty Tercios and two artillery batteries defended a vital pass in the mountains behind massive fortifications whilst a great host of Kurassiers defended the rear of the mighty fortress.
The Bohemians marched up the mountains to the left of the Fortress in columns of Tercios and mounted Arquebusiers supported by some Kurassiers. Four Tercios were sent to harass the Fortress supported by three artillery batteries. A small mixed force of Infanrty and mounted set out in search of a narrow track around to the rear of the Fortress.
As the Bohemian lead elements ascended the mountain on which the Catholic Kurassier host was stationed ( the back edge of the battlefield ) the mighty armoured Host swung into action across the mountain face and attacked the Bohemians. A mighty battle was had with the exposed flanks of the Catholics being well pounded and eventually the Kurassiers were put to flight.
The last message posted from the commander ( RBS ) " please just make it stop " arrived as the battle ended.
I am still shaking from disbelief and giving thanks to the Pot Luck Gods for this momentous victory.

Finally, some good news for the INsurrection! Congratulations Awesum4 and Warlord

I composed a little ditty in your honour
An Ode to Warlord entitled Little Bohemian Beep and other nursery classics"
Oh the Grand Old Duke of Bohemia
he had ten thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again, and again, and again
And didn't stop!
An Ode to Awesum4 entitled "French Toast and other culinary delights"
The Pope had a French roast for lunch
A dire insurrectional warning
Prepared by that nasty popish Catholic bunch
Surely they gest, an ill prepared dish at best!
So we made them all French toast in the morning

There was a young man named Dods,
whose poems appeared to come from the Gods,
He praised the great men of the wars,
and totally ignored their lascivious whores,
And also the capricious dice odds

4th round result:
rbodleyscott (Poles): 10% routed.
awesum4 (French): 43% routed.
The French were in a very strong defensive position, some distance behind a forest. Mountainous terrain left only a small gap round which the left (from the Polish point of view) end of the fortifications could be outflanked, making a major attack there suicidal. The Poles therefore decided to make their major attack round the right end of the fortifications.
Leaving a force of average Determined Horse and unarmoured hussars in reserve behind the forest in the centre, to counter any attempt by the French to advance on that wing, the rest of the Polish army advanced. The infantry, including several battalions of Haiduks as well as pike and shot, advanced through the forest, angling to their right to avoid coming out in front of the fortifications. The rest of the Polish cavalry, led by the armoured hussars, followed by the winged hussars, advanced to the far map edge, staying out of range of the French foot. The French had built a strong defensive line of pike and shot with regimental guns between the fortifications and their rear map edge, and once they were sure that the Poles were not going to attack in the centre, started moving up reinforcements from their centre.
Once the Poles were lined up with a front line of haiduks (supported by light guns) and armoured hussars, they advanced into shooting range and began shooting at the French infantry. With a local advantage in firepower, they started to weaken the French infantry, breaking a veteran battalion almost immediately. However, the French were able to restore the line with fresh units coming up from their centre. Veteran French cavalry charged some of the hussars, but they managed to withstand the charge long enough to be supported by winged hussars.
As soon as any French infantry unit became disrupted, they were charged by Polish cavalry, sealing their fate. The rest of the large French cavalry force consisted of average troopers, giving them a major disadvantage against the Polish winged hussars. As front line units broke, the Polish cavalry surged into the resulting gaps, causing mayhem amongst the French second line units.
Meanwhile a tentative French attack against the Polish left was defeated by light horse and winged hussars brought over from the right (where there was no longer any room for them to deploy), supported by the reserve determined horse and unarmoured hussars.
Eventually the French army had had enough.

ianiow (Imperial Spanish 1635) 11%
rexhurley (Rebel French 1643) 41%
The infantry-heavy Spanish rushed their French counterparts in the centre on this heavily forested battlefield, hoping their smaller cavalry contingent could hold off the more numerous French cavalry on the wings. The plan succeeded!
