Two minor suggestions

1: Protected status for artillery with adjacent friendlies as in Sengoku Jidai. I see a lot (and i am quite guilty of this too) of light troops 'sniping' artillery even though friendly troops are a tile away. It feels odd after getting used to how things work in Sengoku. The 'protected' text should be implemented as well; I'm not sure if everyone realizes that artillery gains that status in hedgerows, for example. Perhaps that text could be added to commanded shot adjacent to cavalry as well.

2: Slowed movement for dragoons in difficult terrain. By difficult terrain i mean woods and difficult slopes (i believe it is already implemented in marshes, and i think it's alright for them to have full movement in rough ground and hedges).Their speed, after all, comes from being mounted more than from being dispersed. Though I'm not sure if such a change would require them to be slightly cheaper for balance. For consistency's sake, this would also be an idea for the samurai matchlocks in Sengoku.

Cheers. Loving both games, as always. Sorry if any of these are already in game; just had these thoughts and am procrastinating before work by posting.

Yes, I like the idea of protected status of artillery if adjacent to formed infantry. I believe it quite possible with a quick script change but would be nice to see it "official"

I note that Dragoons movement is already slowed in Difficult terrain.

Very good points, totally agree. Yes the protected artillery work well in S.J. as do the notes for the Protected foot in S.J.
