Unfortunately I can't help with the AA gun question. Did want to say Merry Christmas!

Sorry, don't know the answer to a really old problem.

Hold Ctrl-key and target a hex behind the plane to force a multiple-turn move. If the arrow-path leads under the plane, you can l-click to move there. Just make sure you cancel additional moves later for the AA gun. Beware that some AA guns can have 2 movement points what makes this a tricky maneuver.
