Another interesting feature is being added to the game, coming in an update early next year: Full game replays.

You will now be able to save a replay during any point of a singleplayer scenario - or at the end of a multiplayer battle. These files will then be available in the load/save panel, using the new "Replays" button to toggle between saved games and replays.

Similar to the controls in multiplayer turn replays, you'll be able to watch through the entire game.

Controls include disabling fog of war as well as switching to the perspective of any other player by selecting their nation in the resources popup display (above the minimap).

You will also be able to take over control at any point during the replay and continue playing it as if it were a normal savegame or scenario.

This feature should be great to create AARs, share tactics with other players as well as debugging and balancing purposes for us, the developers.

This would be cool even if it were only just a replay module. However, this functionality will make it an extraordinary feature:
You will also be able to take over control at any point during the replay and continue playing it as if it were a normal savegame or scenario.
"Where did I go wrong? How could I have done better?" [Armed with forewarning from bitter experience, that is. :)]

Good for multiplayer! Or as guide how to do something for singleplayer.

I am looking forward to it. Still re-learning the game. Very proud of my successful evacuation in Warplan Orange. Now Bataan. Another delaying action. Brrr!

I guess nobody wants to upload replays of "Bataan gone bad"...^^ Let's see if I still remember how to do it with acceptable casualties. ;)

Love the feature. Maybe I'll make a let's play with replays only on the discussion forums. I was able to capture Leningrad during the Finish campaign on middle difficulty, so I'm guessing some people would be interested to see that :)

i love this game.i appreciate all efforts on this game but hopefully "taking over control at any point during the replay and continue playing it as if it were a normal savegame or scenario" is not an option for single player games.this game is NOT a WEGO style game like CM games.all actions are being shown unit by unit(Focus).i dont think it is really possible to miss actions.Watching own or others games are very popular nowaday or just getting old to understand this hype feature.my english isnt good but i hope you can understand.no offence . :)

The way I read it, it will be an option for single player games. However, no one will ever force you to take control and replay a map.

Best to leave things as options for players in my opinion, and those who enjoy them can have them, and those who don't can ignore them. :D

Will this allow step-by-step replay similar to the multiplayer?
I really like this feature.

Yes, controls are the same as in MP replays. Only the "skip replay" button is replaced with "take control". This is available only for SP scenarios because the opponents must be AI controlled in order to be able to continue playing.
