Erik wrote:I have converted (and expanded a bit) all the France/Low Countries scenarios from the Panzer Corps 1940 campaign.
I need some help testing these scenarios before I string them together in a Bltizkrieg 1940 campaign. I'm also planning to merge the '39 and 40' campaigns into a Blitzkrieg grand campaign.
Superb program, very exciting.
Bravo.

I haven't seen any threads about the Norwegian maps (Oslo, Lillehammer, Narvik IIRC). Are you planning on having these as well, or just skipping straight from Warsaw to Eben Emael?

The invasion of Norway should (in my opinion) be done in one single scenario.
It was a combined (the first in WW2) sea/air/land operation with synchronized invasions of 5 Norwegian ports and 2 airborne attacks against major airfields.
Now, being a Norwegian, I have of course created such a scenario since the official one is lacking the invasion of Narvik and generally is a bit loose about historical facts.
My Norway scenario is quite large and does not fit in with the much smaller Panzer Corps scenarios. Maybe I'll add it between the Fall Weiss and Fall Gelb scenarios. I have a finished Denmark scenario as well, but this invasion was conducted at the same time as the Norwegian one.
I'll release Norway later as a single player scenario and probably a multiplayer as well.

Wow, this is impressive. Sorry, but right now I am too swamped to participate in any beta testing.
But do you plan to sell these with Slitherine when they are done? I mean, this is a pretty big fan project.
With some professional help (no offense, you are doing a great job) this could sell. I mean, I would buy the
finished product if it is not buggy or haphazardly done.

He uses maps from the PzC and tools from OoB.
I think to sell it would be difficult because of copyright.
Besides Erik doing it for free, and praise him for this titanic work.

No shit, Sherlock.
But I will praise him, though.
My idea was to make a grand campaign DLC for OoB. Maps are one thing, but the battles for sure cant be copyrighted. (Would be fun, though "everybody who says "Battle of the Bulge" owes me a nickel, guys"

) And if you look at Panzercorps, it basically copied almost all scenarios from PanzerGeneral. OoB's Blitzkrieg has also considerable overlap with Panzercorps.
Summed up, Id like a well-done German Grand Campaign for OoB, if that is a possibility. Erik has already introduced variations.

There is no reason to malice, I don't know if you write serious or joking.
However, it seems to me that the most important thing is who belongs engine. If you want, you can create a new battle, but if you want to sell it, you must create a game from scratch.
It is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Yes, the map and units are straight from PzC. Except for some unit substitutes because of a few missing OOB unit types.
These campaigns will of course be free for OOB owners.
Kudos to the original designer(s). These PzC scenarios are well done, even if some of them deviate from historical facts.
I add a substantial AI unit scripting and some new objectives and variations, but that is all part of the fun.
My ultimate goal is to create German grand campaigns. The first one will probably be 1939-45 East Front, the second will start in Europe 1939-40 then move to Africa (after the devs have published their Afrika Korps (hint-hint)).

Dont worry, this was never meant in a malicious way. No shit Sherlock is just a funny expression.

Whoa, thats some dedication. You are not affiliated with the devs or Slitherine and you are doing this on your own time?

I'm doing this on my own time.
I've been tinkering with scenario editors since 1998

Are the 39 campaign ready? I mean to play as a campaign with carry over and all? If yes, where can we find it?

Hello Erik,
One strange thing:
I captured Eben-Emael but the turn overview did not take account of it.
Even though I deploy a unit on it, the turn overview is not changed.
At the end of the game, I lost because Eben-Emael was not taken!

There are lot of custom stuff in the Scenario forum.
The 1939 campaign is found here:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 74&t=65107
I plan to add a 40' campaign to the '39 campaign creating a new 39-40 campaign etc.
So there will be no need to import cores.

Strange, Eben-Emael worked for me. I'll take a look at it.
Edit: Found an error and fixed it. I My memory was obviously not correct. i also refined the conditions a bit so that German fortresses will only arrive at the old fort locations when the space is vacant.
Thanks for reporting, I'll update the Eben link.

I´ve dl the Blitzkrieg39 from the link above, but where do I place the files and how do I play the campaign?
Theres a bunch of files and a folder named Scenarios.
I´ve tried placing it all in C: > Users > Michael > Documents > My Games > Order of Battle - WW2 > Scenarios, but that doesn´t do anything.
I´ve also tried placing it all in C: > Slitherine > Order of Battle - Pacific > Order of Battle - WW2_data > Content > Scenarios, but no luck with that either.
Another older link states to start it, you have to click single player and custom content, but I no custom content to click.
The campaign is with carry-over from mission to mission, right, and when the 1940 is ready I´ll be able to carry over to that?

You put custom campaigns in the My Games etc Campaign folder.
Single scenarios go into the My Games etc Scenario folder.
You start a custom campaign/singles scenario from the Single Player menu, there's a Custom content button there.
Then you select the Campaigns or Scenarios tab.
Hope that helps
