Fully defining troops as they are deployed

Page 147 states that you must define fully the troop types of all your battle groups as they are deployed on the table.
Does this include quality? I assume that it does but just want to be sure :)

Everything apparently, carrying stakes, allied or not, etc

Yep, "define fully" encompasses all troop ratings and features. :wink:

Not always
where noted in the army lists the true nature of certain BG's can be hidden , see p.39 of immortal fire as an example.

I stand corrected. Unless otherwise specified in the army lists, "define fully" encompasses all troop ratings and features. :wink:

I ran across the same sort of thing while reading through Storm of Arrows and seeing that, for instance, in the Hundred Years War and WoTR English lists dismounted men-at-arms and billmen could interpenetrate bowmen and visa versa, an exception to the normal rules on interpenetration :)
