Civil War Generals II (Sierra)

Howdy again Grognards,
I am really enjoying Panzer Corps and Order of Battle WWII immensely. I have been a PG/AG/PacGen/PG2 gamer since the original SSI series and I love what you have done to keep those games alive and moving forward.
But please please pleas - bring back another old favorite and give it new life! I'm talking about Sierra's Civil War Generals II - it was the best Civil War game / engine I ever found and I still love it and still play it! (Found patches that enables it to work on Windows 7 - I will keep it forever as long as fans keep it working on new Win/OS platforms). It could use some minor game engine updates and some major UI updates, but overall if you were to give it new life in a reincarnated form, please keep most of the original gameplay as is - it was nearly perfect!
I would only consider adding a more user interactive form of the campaign play in between battles, with Rail as an element, and moving troops from one battlefield to the next, and a more Core Army centric feature (Civil War Gen II had something of a core unit feature but it didn't always keep the same units through the battles - I would like to see a campaign feature where you could choose to be the commander of the Army of the Potomac, or the Army of Northern Virginia, etc, and keep your Core with additional support brigades and divisions as appropriate for certain campaign battles).
Please, oh please, oh pleeeeeeeeeez!!!
Did I say Please?
Happy Gamer,
