Can I suggest we bring FOGR into line with FOG but allowing marching troops to march to four inches from skirmishers rather than six inches as at present.

Can I just ask if this is addressing an actual issue?

Allowing for the fact I have not been laying for a couple of years I was not under the impression that skirmishers were really a problem in FoG:R in the way they were in FoG:AM which drove the change in that set.

Nick, in Western encounters probably not but a FOGR has quite a few other armies which are more backward and it can then be the same problem as in FOGAM. For example at the last Britcon one of the themed periods all the armies were North American tribal types.

As long as it is an issue I am quite happy to have it in the mix :-)

Thanks for raising it.

Personally, I'd leave it as is. AM doesn't have triple move mounted, so I think that would give even MORE move for mounted against a skirmisher, and just from a 'this makes sense' POV, troops would 'march' until within range of the enemy. So, since musket range is 6", this would be the standard. Yes, there are tribal thpes where this wouldn't be the case, but for the most part, I don'5@t think it's a big enough deal.

Do marches end within shooting range currently?

No need for a change IMO.
