This scenario is now available for download within the game.

This was one of my early scenarios that I made last year while learning how to design scenarios, and I did not released it. After Macdonncadh mentioned that he would like a Battle of the Spurs scenario, I improved it by using some of the graphics from my other scenarios and campaigns, and added some loading screens. It is quite a challenging scenario. Here are the design notes;

1) I have tried to add bows to the Mounted Longbowmen 3D model. Unfortunately they overlap the unit a bit.

2) Difficulty Rating; Very hard. The French had no chance at this encounter. La Palice should have retreated as soon as he saw the English advancing towards him, but he delayed, presumably to help the Stradiots complete their relief mission. When he saw the English infantry advancing in overwhelming numbers he gave the order to retreat, but by then it was too late, and his cavalry was charged in the rear by the English Men at Arms. This scenario gives you the chance to stand and fight, but you will need god on your side for this one!

3) Sideicons are as follows;

Imperialist-English; Henry VIII, King of England. Henry commanded his army in France.

French; Jacques de La Palice. Grand Master of France. La Palice was a very experienced soldier, having fought in most of France's great battles of the period; Fornovo, Agnadello, Ravenna, Marignano, Bicocca. He commanded the French cavalry at Guinegate and was captured during the battle. He died at the Battle of Pavia in 1525.

Thanks Paul...Really enjoyed this, even though I got slaughtered! Very hard is an understatement.
