Blitzkrieg artillery stats issue

game version: 2.9.6d / steam
I believe that I have found three issues with German artillery in the newest expansion see picture below:
First issue is that all artillery units are available from the first scenario. Second issue is that 17k18 has 8 range, I think it should be 5. Third issue is the cost of 21 mrs 18, it should be higher than 17k18. None of these issues are game breaking and fortunately it should be fairly easy to fix them via simple change of configuration.

Also the 7.5 cm leIG 18 can move AND attack. I tested it with the 75mm FK18 which has the same movement of 2 in the exact same situation and it was not able to fire so im assuming this is also a bug.

I reported this in the early Blitz-Krieg beta-testing.
I think it is by design, maybe distinguish this lighter more movable gun used by the Fallschirmjäger and Gebirgsjäger units to the regular 7.5cm.

17cm k18 cannons were better than 21cm Mrs18, including a greater range!
Not always the larger diameter is better. Example: A 88mm gun used in a Tiger tanks had much better performance than 122mm gun of the tank IS-2
I went home for the weekend, after returning I can send more information.

According to wikipedia:
21cm
Effective firing range = 14,500 m
17cm
Maximum firing range = 29,600 m
While "effective" and "maximum" are different things, this and the description below clearly suggest the 17cm has the highest range.
The Kanone 18 quickly impressed German Artillery officers, firing a 68 kg (149 lb) HE shell out to a range of 29.6 km (18.4 mi), the real surprise was the explosive power of the shell, which was little different from the 113 kg shell of the 21 cm Mörser 18. Production commenced in 1941, in 1942 production of the 21 cm Mörser 18 was halted for almost two years so as to allow maximum production of the Kanone 18.
And yes, short barreled mountain/infantry guns are allowed to move and attack during the same turn.

Still why are all the arty available right off the start? Shouldnt there be progression?

They all existed at the start of the war... Unlike tanks & aircraft there wasn't that much innovation in artillery guns.
I guess it's a choice between "gameplay" and "historical accuracy".

One more thing im finding as im playing, when you upgrade there is a loss ofcourse, however if you upgrade the 50prest arty, to the 2nd last one, you literally get a free upgrade because instead of being 250 its now 200.

This really seems like the kind of information that ought to be reflected on those units' list of traits. I mean, that's what it is there for, right?

I have a few issues here.
The 17cm K18 became available only in 1941 and it continued to be super-rare (source: two German books).
As a long range weapon, I would suggest the 10cm schwere Kanone 18, which was way less exotic than the others. With a little less range and suppression. You could even use the same icon.
With respect to the leIG 7.5cm, this is one of my most fundamental issues in the game. It can be used as an assault gun and one could argue this is a feature. Historically, the leIG was quite light, with a combat weigt between 400 and 570 kg only*.
So in action, the IG was actually sometimes manhandled into combat or driven forward in a hurry and manhandled the rest of the way. However, it only had a range of 3550m, which is basically (compared to the other arty in the game), the adjacent hex.
So I think the IG is way too strong as it is now. Either it should be as mobile as it is but only have a range of 1 hex, or it should have the range it has, but not be as mobile, or even treated as regular artillery.
In reality, the leIG would very rather be used like the mortars of the heavy Inf in the game**, but I do understand that would be way less fun and overparametrizing it.
useless facts at the side:
*horse drawn and motorized, respectively [the game image is the mot. version with steel wheels instead of 19th century like wooden spoked wheels].
**later in the war, the leIG was very often replaced by the 12cm heavy mortar in the TOE of the German infantry regiments, as it was cheaper to produce and the role was similar.

I think that's why it is so expensive. I went through the entire Blitzkrieg campaign, and I had no heavy artillery. I think it is well resolved in this way.
I agree that both guns were rather rare (eg.Waffen SS received them until the end of 1943 in a small number) but 10cm sK18 was also not common weapons.
