new movement bug !

So this one is tricky,
playing soviet (clear turn), having a inf unit and a armor unit close to moscow in Zvenigorod zone, I want to attak Podolsk zone occupied by german units ...
what happens, is that the soviet inf moves one space normaly to Podolsk, but the armor follows road/trail and goes through Moscow zone and then Podolsk ! no way I can get him to go directly to Podolsk .. this was possibile in precedent version, to choose zone after zone with all posibility's !
There is big diference in this example, going from Moscow to Podolsk is river crossing, and +10% defence ! and going directly to Poldosk from Zvenigorod no river crossing ...

I see that maybe this is a big coding change, as all armors/motorized follow always road/trail movements ... but nescessary for game play !

Hi victory!

I understand your issue. The movement should always follow the shortest path. This time, your unit thinks it is "faster" to use the railroads and paths, and that is why it chooses this path. I hope it makes sense.

I see how this affects the gameplay and we will think at a solution for it. The only one that I can think of right now is making sure that if you choose to move in a tile neighbour to the one the unit is in, the unit will move directly in that one. This way, even if you want to move a unit 2 spaces and want your unit to follow a certain path, you can do so by moving the unit space by space.

Will this be good enough?

yes I think that would be fine the way you say ! the player should have the option to choose manualy in wich adjacent permited zone he can move, zone per zone ...

I implemented this in our code now. It needs some testing before we are ready to get this into live though. We are also preparing more things that need to be integrated in the next patch. Most of them is feedback from players. So please, be patient as it will take a few days for us to get this patch public.
