Many many thanks to all who put up with high gas prices to make the journey in. Each of you made this event trully special.
It seemed like such a simple little request. Joey asked if he could be Hannibal. I thought WTF why not just for $hits and giggles.
Who knew we would now be proclaiming Hannibal (Joey) as the furry new Ceasar. Congrats to Joey on not only winning but
also scoring a perfect 75 points (he even 25-0'd 2 players finishing in the top 6) It was a well fought and well deserved victory
Imagine how good he can be if he learns the rules.

Mark and the NATO bunch came in mass and really made the day special. Please everyone make plans to attend the 600 point 4 game
Atlanta Tourney on Aug 23rd.

I have to give special thanks to Thomas Demers for all of his hard work. Tom hand painted all of the generals that the players received
as well as the Baton of Victory presented to Joey. I organized and Refs but Tom worked his butt off and it would not have been half
the event it was without him.

I hope my skills (or lack there of) as ref did not hurt anyone. I make no promises that any of my rulling were right but I tried very
hard to be consistant throughout the day. Thankfully as has been the case with fog there were very few true rules conflicts and as such
each of you helped to make my day enjoyable. I know I made mistakes and I take full ownership of them.

George Morgan took many great pictures that I will post on the message boards asap.

The Gulf Coast Gamers were great and I appreciate them allowing us to Hijack thier event to accomidate our needs.
I look forward to many return events with them in 2009 when they move to the permanent larger venue.

Again, Thanks to Everyone that participated and made Fate of Rome (ie Historicon South) a wonderful event.
