Same rules apply as in the digital league except it will be only the first three books,Imortal Fire, Rise of Rome and Legions Triumphant and 5-600 pts depending on what the majority prefers. Everyone plays everyone else and the points added up at the end. If someone is tied then they play a runoff match at the end. Now before the turnney starts people can have some imput with ideas to make the tournney better. :D 8) Thanks and everyone have fun! Okie

My contribution is that in each confrontation the two players have to play with both armies to balance opportunities
Thanks

Keen to play. Thanks for the heads-up, Okie. This would be my first tournament so: what is the 50/10 rule? (OK. Found it.) :D

And me, I'd love to play. Thanks, Okie.

I'm happy with 500 or 600, but slight preference for 500.

Best Wishes

So far it's 3-1 infavor of 600 points. So if anyone prefers 500 speak up. Also we have a suggestion that everyone play both sides to keep things from getting one sided with a (killer) army. Any other thoughts or preferance on this? Looks like we're coming right along with people but I would like to have more if we can, So tell other players and try to get them to join up! Thanks!! :D Okie

Didn't you have an idea for a 500/600 pt army on a 1000 pt army board? that would make the games much more interesting, stop a steam roller army just marching from one side of the board to the other

Yes! You can get the larger map by hitting the 1000 pt army but only build it to 600 pts. then put Sp at the end of the army so you know its only 600 instead of 1000 pts in the army. Very simple and everyone is on they're Honor to not go over the points even if that means your under 600. This is an example as it's not decided yet on army points. :D 8)

:D Re: playing both sides; not entirely against this but I don't really see the point -unless we were playing scenarios. If it were tried, how would it work? Exactly the same composition of troops -but sides reversed; or my version of the army you just played against your version of the army I just used? (What do we do if we used similar armies in the first place?) Either way would work -I think- but would it be worth doubling the number of games to be played? ...Perhaps? No doubt I'm missing something here but that's my two-pennyworth. :D

I think it would be good to play both sides of the battles because the armies have different characteristics. I, for example, I defend better with heavy infantry and pikes .. but I'm learning to use mediumĀ  infantry. Forgive my bad English

I think we need to decide about the army choise's.
A. Everyone picks the army they want.
or
B. Armies can only be picked once depending on the time frame.
In other words you could pick say, Roman armies but from differant times or Selucid armies but from differant times ect ect.
or
C. You have to chose differant nations altogeather
I think we have to pick how this will be done by a vote. The choice (A., B., or C) with the most votes being the way we go.
my personal thought is each person picks what ever army they want even if it means there are a preponderance of one army. If we go this way I don't think we need to play both armies each time.
However we do it I think majority rules.
SO LETS GET A VOTE ON THIS. :) 8) Okie

PS: I'd still like to get more players, so please invite anyone you like to play! We'll put a time limit on additonal player joining. Say one week from today, or next Tuesaday. Thanks!

Also the 50/10 rule will not be in effect as at 600 pts. it's not practical. Sorry about the mess up there.
It seems that 600 pts is favored and gives better balance so that will be the army size. Okie

OK, 'A' for my vote too. But just to clarify: we pick any three armies we wish; one from each book? Do we then play each of our opponents three times, one battle for each book?
