Is a steam release in the works?

I hope so, as games like panzer corp have better deals, like complete your collection, as well as occasional promotions, partly by virtue of being on steam. If FOG can do likewise, and also once the unity version is patched up, i'll be investing in trying to get all of them.

At this point the steam community might be the ones trying to fix FoG(U).
