I have been tearing my hair out as I can't get my new unit class "Industry" to work!!
I set one of my unit's class to 20 (Industry), but in the bio for the unit, it just says German Industry/, instead of German Industry/Industry
I require a new unit class for the production system that I found in World of the War II, as the unit filter doesn't go to the individual unit type, but unit class.
I can't free up any unit class because I am using the full vanilla roster
All I think I need is an entry in the unitclass file, strings file, and the equipment file for the actual unit.
But it won't work!!
I think I may go bald...

I did something similar in War of the World 2. You have to get rid of one of the other classes (in my case, recon) and change all the graphics for that class to suit the new class. If you're using the vanilla roster, use one of the naval ones (probably carrier), give the carrier the 'nopurchase' trait, set the carrier (now renamed industry) to be a purchaseable class (look through the file structure of the mod if you need help with that).

I got it to work!!
But perhaps it worked a little too well...

(Note that that is the bottom of my purchase screen, and I'll get the pictures and names working)
How to remove the buyable transports from the menu

How do you remove transports from being able to go on certain units? Is there a file for that?
I don't want my industry unit to have transports on it.
Also I'm going to stop posting new threads.
Edit: I looked at terminator's German horse transport mod (As I thought it was the most focused example), and saw that he added "horsepower" to add traits, so most likely I need to add "land rail sea air" to my industry's remove traits section.
Edit2: Nope, doesn't work

In the transports column of the industry unit, delete everything that is there.

Tabbing, that was my problem, because I counted the number from Target Type to Usable Transports and there wasn't enough spaces to get to that column, so there wasn't anything there in the first place.
Also I never looked right of Series
I need to stop asking questions
