Would a home province help the campaign?

Absolutely love the game but one of the things that seems odd with the campaign are the times when clans, over time, seem to actually swap map areas. I was thinking about a province that the retreating armies would attempt to fall back to; creating some semblance of 'home'.

I'm not sure if it's historically accurate or even do-able but seems IMHO to make sense.

Thanks!

However as (in most of the campaigns) you get twice as much revenue from provinces that you originally own as from captured enemy provinces, there is already a built-in incentive to try to keep your own.

Good point, I did forget the revenue rules...

Does the extra revenue return if a lost province is recaptured?

Does the same rule apply to original areas of clans joining your side?

Thanks again! :)

I edited my messages to correct atrocious spelling

Yes, although the fighting temporarily damages the province's economic value.

The rules for this are customised according to the specific campaign. I think in the Sengoku Jidai campaign you get full revenue from such provinces.

In the Imjin War campaign all of the mainland provinces count as originally Korean or Chinese, so when they recapture them they get full revenue. The Japanese only get 50% revenue from mainland provinces even if they hold them at the start of the campaign, but they get extra off-map income to compensate.
