Dismounting and mounting

Hi I am looking to develop a 100 years army, and trying to understand the dismount and mounting rules, I understand that the cost of dismounted Knights or men at arms that where/are originally mounted will include the cost of the mounts, so far so good, choice of the general! so two questions 1) presumably they can ride into battle then dismount at some future turn once in position? 2) if i have paid for the mounts and they are standing around getting bored because the long bowmen are having all the fun, what is to stop them getting on there expensive mounts and moving of to a more interesting part of the battle?

Hi,

You pay for the troops as knights. The army books indicate which troops can dismount and what they dismount as.

You can either choose to dismount as the troops are deployed or at the end of deployment. There are no historical precedents of troops mounting or dismounting once the battle has started so this is not allowed.
