Do Generals Affect Cohesion Test Quality ReRolls?

Weird how suddenly the brain questions something and can't find the answer:

Generals improve quality rerolls for combat.

Do they also improve quality for cohesion test rolls? So if a general is with average troops who must take a cohesion test, do they reroll any '1s'?

No they dont.

They give a bonus to cohesion rolls if in range or with the unit in combat.

Thats how ive been playing it anyway :D

If a general fights in the front rank of a battle group he improves the quality rerolls for combat. If with the BG in combat or within command range if the BG is not in close combat they add a +1. Generals can also add a bonus to Complex move tests :)

And you have been playing it correctly.

Generals fighting in the front rank improve the effective quality of the BG for COMBAT rolls, not COHESION or MANOUEVER. You get a bonus on cohesion for having a general with the BG and the same for maneouver but your quality is your quality.
