Do Generals Affect Cohesion Test Quality ReRolls?

Weird how suddenly the brain questions something and can't find the answer:
Generals improve quality rerolls for combat.
Do they also improve quality for cohesion test rolls? So if a general is with average troops who must take a cohesion test, do they reroll any '1s'?

No they dont.
They give a bonus to cohesion rolls if in range or with the unit in combat.
Thats how ive been playing it anyway

If a general fights in the front rank of a battle group he improves the quality rerolls for combat. If with the BG in combat or within command range if the BG is not in close combat they add a +1. Generals can also add a bonus to Complex move tests

And you have been playing it correctly.
Generals fighting in the front rank improve the effective quality of the BG for COMBAT rolls, not COHESION or MANOUEVER. You get a bonus on cohesion for having a general with the BG and the same for maneouver but your quality is your quality.
