Wasn't fixed in today's patch.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that the error hasn't been repaired.

not 100% sure on this tbh so will have to wait for developers to reply, but most fixes in most games aren't retrospective, but maybe and hopefully wrong, but until developer's reply or someone else confirms it does or doesn't from a fresh start, we won't know for sure

I've restarted Coral Sea scn, and will play again. When the commander Ward appeares I will be able to tell if the patch worked.

Thanks for the reports and savegame. There was a rather significant issue/oversight laying underneath Fixed now for the next update.

Did you fixed Commander Ward's bug in the new patch?

There is no information in the 2.9.6d Patch changelog.
