St.Goddard scenario problems - needs another version

I have played St Goddard many times which puts the Imperials against the Ottomans. Historically, the Jannisaries were all trying to get organized for an attack on the Imperials when they were surprised and routed. In the game, the Jannisaries are quite ready for an attack and are much superior to the Imperial infantry in combat. In reality this was not the case. The Jannisaries need to be set up in the Forrest rather than in their camp and they need to be disrupted for two or three turns to illustratate that they were totally unprepared for any combat in the beginning phases of the battle. The game as is is very tough for the Imperials to win with the Jannisaries made out like supermen. On this day, they were far from that. They really were disorganized and having trouble getting their formations in order and many were routed before ever getting into formation. I think this battle needs a tune up version 3 to make it more realistic to what the actual conditions were for the battle that day. The Ottoman would need to retreat, regroup and try to hold off the Imperials with cavalry to do this if there was a more accurate version 3. I love the Ottoman battles though. I would love to see the Ottoman battles with the Austrian army of Prince Eugene at the Battle of Zenta in 1697 and the Battle of Belgrade (1718) and another battle that he also fought in 1718.

I thoroughly enjoyed the scenario, you have the advantage of concentrating your attacks vs the Otto's that are hindered by the terrain. Its very winnable.

I would love to see a historical version. I can't beat the Ottomans. The Jannisaries just kick ass and it really is not like what happened historically with the Jannisaries being surprised in the woods for two or three turns....

Perhaps you should make your own version then?

I would love to do that, but I would need someone to teach me how to do it.
