When using RANDOM unit selection I have never seen any variant of the T-34 when playing skirmish.
It has never been available to purchase as the soviets and I have never seen it on the enemy side.
This is very strange as it should be the most common soviet tank by far!
I only play skirmish and the game currently feels like star wars without tie fighters...

I'm not sure of the ins and outs of the skirmish setup, but could it be the dates you are choosing for the skirmish games?

No, since changing dates changes nothing.
And anyways the T-34 was widely available throughout the whole war.
