I just purchased the field of glory unity version, if I run it with internet connection there is no problem, but If I run it without internet connection (for example if I was outside of my home) an annoying message appears saying "Acquiring serials info". This is the first slitherine/matrix game in which I have this problem

Is there no other way to check serial numbers? Why this game dont check the serial number as other games does?

I have exactly the same issue. When offline the "Acquiring serials info" dialogue persists. It does not technically affect interacting with the game but is hugely annoying and off-putting and ruins the gaming experience.

Is this a Mac OS X specific issue perhaps? The original poster does not specify what OS they are using.

I am using windows 10

This is happening to me now.
Windows 7 latest sp, not updated for a few years.
I have almost all the DLC to the base game.
When i try to update it states i have the latest version of field of glory, whatever that is.

maybe the second picture will not attach because it is too big, trying again after reducing quality to 20%...

i should have made it clear, this problem is happening even with my internet connection enabled and internet working fine.
Perhaps 50-75% of the time last few days i get this problem with internet turned on, the error message of checking serials does not go away, i give up waiting for it.
Totally unplayable with that error message over the middle of the screen.
I have not tried playing without internet enabled but it sounds like that would be the same.

The guy who made the Unity version has been AWOL for over a year...so little to no chance he can/will resolve it. Sorry to inform you.

I went back to the 1.81 version of FOG which is better in every way, no more blurry unit pictures.
I can live with the last two expansions being only on FOG Unity.
Scenario editor that works in 1.81 is awesome, i have been using it.
FYI I use the matrixgames website for buying and storing my games rather than slitherines website, because i live in the uk and it has prices in £. Letting you know because some games are either slitherine versions or are matrixgames versions.

I also have the FOG Unity version installed to a seperate directory and i can say that i have had better luck running that version without the serial number bug, though it happens at times.
FOG 1.81 does not have this problem however sometimes when i start it the game will not load past the init ial spalash screen with options and has the whirling icon in the
centre, but i just close it and reopen and it works most of the time.
