A new turn-based strategy game is coming to PC in 2016

Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach brings you to a dark era of carnage and endless war. One of Imperium’s fiercest enemies, Grukk Face-Rippa, leads his Red Waaagh! in the Sanctus Reach system. Worlds after worlds fall to billions of Orks, until only one last planet resists the green tide: the Knight World of Alaric Prime. This is where a brave company of Space Wolves makes its stand to defend the last bastion of mankind in the system.




After the successful launch of Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, Slitherine and Games Workshop renew their association to offer a brand new, 3D turn-based strategy game set in the Sanctus Reach. Featuring some of the most iconic races and characters from the Warhammer 40,000, Sanctus Reach is a fan beloved campaign and story from the universe.

“Teaming up with Games Workshop for this thrilling project is testament of how well the partnership has worked out on Armageddon”, says Iain McNeil, Development Director at Slitherine. “Straylight are a very promising new development team that we are proud to work with. They bring not only passion and dedication, but a great deal of knowledge of the Warhammer 40,000 universe and that is an invaluable asset”.

The game is being developed by new born Scotland-based team Straylight Entertainment and will release before the end of 2016. This is the first game to be published using the brand new Archon engine, developed in house by Slitherine and made available to a number of its developers.

Very good news already looks to be a great game only with photos, but the million dollar question:
There will be new races Tyranids, Necrons, Eldar etc for this game in the future ?.
Since Armageddon Warhammer 40,000 a big game, I was frozen by not having new races in their continuous DLCs.

Incredible news, this looks fantastic....

Beta testing has already begun, but more batches of beta testers are being approved as new builds are released.

Ah crap. I think im in the same boat as you. I applied for the beta like 2 weeks ago but completely neglected to contribute at all to the forum.

Does beta access give you access to the forum? I was hoping to see some info on how the game is progressing but doesn't seem to be much about?

Looking forward to this. Signed myself up for the beta but I imagine there's already a number of testers. Hoping to see some feedback soon. This could be a really good game.

yes, as it's a hidden forum, only those with beta access can see, good luck with the beta application, fingers crossed you get in on the next time if they are excepting newer ones, as that's unknown to me either

Don't worry - we have been keeping quiet as we're waiting patiently for the developers to work without pressure and comfortably, but when it'll be time we'll start publishing lots of information and materials

I applied to be a part of the beta ages ago and I haven't heard anything. I just tried to apply again and it says I already applied.

Here's my plea for beta access

I'm a computer developer and I love turn based strategy games. I have written my own games using WebGL, OpenGL and Unity (visit http://vw40k.com). I appreciate the hard work that goes into these games and mostly I enjoy playing them.

I hope this game works out .. I'm really looking forward to playing it !

If it fixes the shortcomings of Warhammer Armageddon we might be in for a fine treat. Looking forward to it.

Wooot woke up this morning and found the BETA invite mail in my inbox MADE MY DAY already !
Took a while but i'm finaly in cant wait to join you guy's when i get home after work today !
