The Wartime Music Collection - Create your own WW2 radio show!

While playing OOb (or any other WW2 game) I like to listen to music of the time period for the sake of immersion, or just because it's interesting to discover rare and exotic songs of the past. Not to mention that much of the music is simply terrific ... The idea of this project is to collect original music of the WW2 period for the nations covered by OOB (or any other WW2 game) in order to provide the player and music-lover with a multifaceted soundtrack. Choose the songs you like, make your own playlist(s) and fire up the game!

Main source is YouTube; for copyright reasons I will post here only links to channels, playlists and single videos. Perhaps I'll add some links for radio broadcasts and news too.

Proposals and hints are always welcome! (Please remember that we're looking exclusively for recordings from the 30s and 40s.)

This post will be updated from time to time. So stay tuned!

Germany

Popular and Dancing Music, Swing:

(The Nazi attitude towards Swing music was quite schizophrenic, on the one side this music was ideological suspicious, on the other side it was very poular in Germany. That led to contradictory sanctions: the Swing Youth subculture was suppressed, Swing dancing forbidden (well, sometimes at least) - while Goebbels fostered his own Swing band, Charlie and His Orchestra, for propaganda reasons. But still, there were numerous orchestras in the country playing Swing - and German Lufwaffe pilots used to tune in to Radio London soon after takeoff to listen to the latest Glen Miller tunes (source: my grandad). In 1943 the production of vinyl records was terminated and many artists and musicians were conscripted ...)

- Fantastic channel by Deutschlandsender, German pre-war and wartime dancing music, mostly swing.

No, Sorry. As I said above:
Main source is YouTube; for copyright reasons I will post here only links to channels, playlists and single videos.
Otherwise a bunch of lawyers would hunt me down immediately, at least the vultures here in Germany.
